Store Policies

Returns, Refunds, Cancellations, & Store Closings

Our first mission is to make our customers happy.

We will do our best to do that while keeping the shop up to date and running smoothly for your convenience.

Please see our Returns page for our Return policy.

Hold

No item will be held unless it is paid for.  You may make a purchase over the phone or on our website for store pickup and we will hold that item until you can get to the store.

Yarn Winding

In our physical store, when time allows, we are happy to offer yarn winding free of charge. Due to other store responsibilities, we may not always offer to wind your entire yarn purchase while you wait, but, as long as the winder is cooperating, we will offer to wind at least your first skein. On the rare occasion when we are unable to wind, a sign will be posted in the store.  For those who are familiar with using a swift and winder, there is a customer winding station in the workroom that you may use if the workroom is unoccupied. We also sell swifts and winders if you might like to have access to winding in your own home.

We are not currently winding yarn for online purchases unless it is specifically requested at the time of check out.

Class Cancellations

If a class is postponed by the shop due to weather, an attempt will be made to reschedule. If the class is rescheduled and the student cannot attend that date, they will be given a store credit to be used for a future class (not merchandise).

If a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, tuition will be refunded.

If a student does not attend a class for which they have registered, they forfeit the cost of the class.

If a student wishes to withdraw from a class, then they will contact the store owner.  Please keep in mind that consideration will be made to the instructor of the class who has spent time and money in preparation for presenting the class.  Rarely will we be able to issue a refund.

If a student misses a lesson, they forfeit the cost of the lesson. In order to reschedule, another lesson will need to be purchased unless the student notifies us the day before the scheduled lesson, in which case we will reschedule.

Weather Cancellations

Delayed opening or closing of the shop due to inclement weather will be posted on Instagram and Facebook. If you do not use either, please call and verify that the shop is open before traveling.

Cancellation of Help Appointments and Private Lessons

Appointments for project help and private lessons are made by contacting info@TheEndlessSkein.com. Lessons and help sessions that require payment must be paid for in advance. Customers who miss their arranged appointment will forfeit the fee, since the instructor will need to be compensated for their time. If a customer is late for a lesson or help appointment, the session will still end at the appointed time. Our staff is dedicated to helping customers be successful in their craft. We also expect our time and expertise to be respected and appreciated.

Yarn Choices for Classes

Class fees go directly to our instructors. We’re counting on you to support The Endless Skein with your yarn purchases. In our classes, we appreciate when you choose to work with yarn purchased at the store. Of course, we love to shop for yarn at fiber festivals and other local yarn shops too. We understand that every once in a while you may feel inspired to use yarn from outside of the store.

If you are looking for a particular yarn that you don’t see in the store, please let us know! We welcome suggestions in person, by phone or e-mail, and in our suggestion box.
