Fall Giving Project
Each season, we spotlight a pattern by a BIPOC (Black/Indigenous/Person of Color) designer, and donate 10% of the proceeds from yarn purchases for that project to a good cause.
This fall we are featuring Shindig, by Sachiko Burgin. A portion of the yarn sales for this project will benefit Second Chance Foods, a nonprofit that that recovers food that would otherwise go to waste and feeds hungry families in the Hudson Valley.
We have put together Shindig kits with some of our favorite color combinations!
Charity Knitting and Crocheting
We invite you to join us in knitting and crocheting items for local charities. Last year we donated over 300 hats to Hudson Valley non-profit Keep It Moving, which distributed them to young people in need.
Now we are knitting and crocheting Knitted Knockers: soft, comfortable prosthetics for breast cancer survivors. Stop by The Endless Skein during store hours to pick up a free kit to knit or crochet Knitted Knockers for a breast cancer survivor. Each kit includes patterns for knitters and crocheters, plus the yarn to make a pair of Knockers. Please note: Knitters must be comfortable knitting small circumferences with DPNs or Magic Loop to make Knitted Knockers.
We also continue to accept blankets for Project Linus -- see below for more details!
