Learn About Gauge
Tired of wondering why your finished projects aren't quite the right size or shape? It's time to understand the how and why of gauge. We will patiently take you through the steps of preparing and measuring a good gauge swatch. This class is not to be missed!
Basic knitting and purling skills are a prerequisite for this class, and there is a small homework assignment that must be knitted before the class. Most of the class content is applicable to crochet as well.
Currently we are offering our Learn About Gauge class one-on-one. Once you purchase the class, we will be in touch to schedule your session. If you would prefer to take the class as part of a group, subscribe to our e-newsletter. We will offer this class in a group setting a few times a year.

Gauge Workshop
This was one if the best knitting workshops I have ever taken. I felt a great need, having run into problems with made items not coming out the right size, so I was desperate for this, and Carol delivered. She taught us things that I've never had the opportunity to learn before, with clear guidelines and helpful tips . She provided a handout that is very comprehensive for future reference when my own memory fails me, as well as many samples of the ideas she was trying to teach us. Carol is a wonderful knitter and a great teacher. She knew how to teach things with clarity and insight. And she used the time exceptionally well. I look forward to my next workshop with her.

Gauge
This is definitely a worthwhile class. I learned so much in just 2 hours. I have been knitting for years but have trouble with bigger projects like sweaters. This class illuminated what I have been missing when I read a pattern! Carol shows you tips to get the Gauge you need to make your project a success. She has tons of finished sample pieces to show you how to get the needle size for your project. She also gives you detailed printed notes for you to follow along and take home with you. I highly recommend this class.
