Triangular Lace Shawl Class — Parts One and Two
In this class, you’ll knit The Last Leaf, by Emily McNeil of The Tempestry Project. This simple yet elegant lace shawl has an all-over leaf motif. A beaded picot edge adds a bit of sparkle. This class is ideal for advanced beginners or more experienced knitters interested in branching out into lace, chart reading, and beading.
Part One includes triangular shawl construction, chart reading, cast-on/setup, and knitting the lace leaf motif.
For those who choose to continue, Part Two covers the picot bind-off, beading, and a discussion of blocking and finishing.
Part One: Saturday, May 9 from 1:00-4:00
Prerequisites: Must be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, increasing, and decreasing.
Part Two: Saturday, May 23 from 1:00-2:30
Homework: Last Leaf shawl completed (any number of pattern repeats) through the border.
