This is going to be a series of workshops full of information, techniques, color, fun, and best of all, NO SLEEVES!
We will learn Stranded Colorwork Knitting -- a bit of color theory as well as knitting techniques -- and then will work through the lovely Emilie Vest. You will have the tools to make the vest, with its lovely zigzag motif, or if you are feeling a bit adventurous, to add your own motifs to the design. We will complete our project with some finishing techniques that will take your work from “homemade” to “handmade”!
If that isn’t enough, we will complete the workshop with a lesson on steeking (not needed for our vest project)….just in case you want to continue on the Stranded Knitting path.
Students who sign up to make the vest will be given 10% off of yarn purchased for the project from our store. While we hope that you will consider purchasing some of your materials from the store, we understand though that you might have yarn in your stash that you would like to use for the project. We can help with the purchase of the Emilie Vest pattern as well.
