Scout is a strong, versatile yarn from Kelbourne Woolens. Designed with classic knitting and crochet in mind, Scout is beautiful and high-quality wool. This fingering-weight yarn comes in a gorgeous palette of heathered colors.
The wool in Scout is a cross between Corriedale and Merino. This wool is stronger than Merino, with added durability. Scout is also unique in that it is a heather, meaning multiple colors are pre-blended prior to spinning to create a shade with a lot of depth and variation. The Natural color is the one exception to this – it is the undyed white shade of wool.
We love Scout for colorwork, texture, and the simplest of stitch patterns, whether you are knitting or crocheting a sweater, a hat, scarf, or shawl.
