How many times have you admired Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Baby Surprise Jacket and wished you could wear one yourself? Your wish is our command! This Winter we are offering a series of workshops designed to see you wearing your own Surprise Jacket for next Fall, if not sooner. The workshops are being offered in tiers. Choose your tier(s) based on what you would like to accomplish.
Tier One will introduce you to all of the needed skills for completing the jacket.
Tier Two will practice all of these skills in the construction of a very small Baby Surprise Jacket.
Tier Three will help you to understand how to make the Surprise Jacket in your own size based on your gauge swatch!

Tier One: A sample will be constructed during this session that helps the student to learn all of the skills needed to construct the Surprise Jacket.

Time: 3-hour class, January 24 from noon to 3:00

Tier Two: Students will construct the smallest sized Baby Surprise Jacket under the guidance of the instructor.

Time: two 1.5-hour sessions, February 7 & 21 from 1:30-3:00

Tier Three: Students will be guided through the steps to create a Surprise Jacket in a size of their choosing.

Time: 3 two-hour sessions. Work on our sweater will continue as a KAL during Open Crafting. March 28, and April 11 and 25 from 1:00-3:00.
