Charity Knitting and Crocheting

We invite you to join us in knitting and crocheting items for local charities. Last year we donated over 300 hats to Hudson Valley non-profit Keep It Moving, which distributed them to young people in need.

Now we are knitting and crocheting Knitted Knockers: soft, comfortable prosthetics for breast cancer survivors. Stop by The Endless Skein during store hours to pick up a free kit to knit or crochet Knitted Knockers for a breast cancer survivor. Each kit includes patterns for knitters and crocheters, plus the yarn to make a pair of Knockers. Please note: Knitters must be comfortable knitting small circumferences with DPNs or Magic Loop to make Knitted Knockers.

We also continue to accept blankets for Project Linus -- see below for more details!

Project Linus: Help us give back!

Project Linus provides love and sense of security, warmth and comfort, to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. We are giving back to the community through gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.” The Endless Skein is excited to be able to support Project Linus as a drop off point for finished blankets. We can also provide information for those who wish to support Project Linus.
