CHARITY PROJECTS

Charity Knitting and Crocheting

We invite you to join us in knitting and crocheting items for local charities. We recently donated over 300 hats to Hudson Valley non-profit Keep It Moving, which will distribute them to young people in need. Now we are knitting and crocheting blankets for Project Linus! Stop by The Endless Skein during store hours to pick up free yarn and patterns for charity crafting and to drop off your finished charity items.

Hint of Autumn Shawl

Special Project of the Month

Each month we spotlight a pattern by a BIPOC (Black/Indigenous/Person of Color) designer, and donate 10% of the proceeds from yarn purchases for that project to a good cause.

This month we are featuring Tamy Gore’s Hint of Autumn shawl pattern, and 10% of the yarn sales for that project will benefit Support Connection, a Hudson Valley non-profit that provides support services to women with breast and ovarian cancer.

Stop by the shop, give us a call at 845-809-5500, or email us to find out more!

Project Linus: Help us give back!

Project Linus provides love and sense of security, warmth and comfort, to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. We are giving back to the community through gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.” The Endless Skein is excited to be able to support Project Linus as a drop off point for finished blankets. We can also provide information for those who wish to support Project Linus.

Charity Craft Night

The Endless Skein provides opportunities for members of the community to knit or crochet projects to support local and global charities. We supply the yarn and patterns for selected charitable groups and you provide the love and labor, needles or hooks. If you have your own charitable work in progress then we provide the space and community in which to work. The store is closed for regular business during these nights so you may choose to work in the workroom or among the beautiful yarns. . . . It may be smart to bring your own chair.

Charity craft night will resume when possible. In the meantime, stop by The Endless Skein during store hours to pick up free yarn and patterns for charity knitting and crocheting and to drop off your finished charity items!
