CHARITY PROJECTS

Charity Knitting and Crocheting

We invite you to join us in knitting and crocheting items for local charities. Last year we donated over 300 hats to Hudson Valley non-profit Keep It Moving, which distributed them to young people in need.

Now we are knitting and crocheting Knitted Knockers: soft, comfortable prosthetics for breast cancer survivors. Stop by The Endless Skein during store hours to pick up a free kit to knit or crochet Knitted Knockers for a breast cancer survivor. Each kit includes patterns for knitters and crocheters, plus the yarn to make a pair of Knockers. Please note: Knitters must be comfortable knitting small circumferences with DPNs or Magic Loop to make Knitted Knockers.

We continue to accept blankets for Project Linus, and hats and scarves to be distributed to local families at the Philipstown Food Pantry!

The Endless Skein's Spring Giving Project, to benefit Black Women in Motion: Cheslie Toque, by Kiyomi Burgin

Spring Giving Project

Each season, we spotlight a pattern by a BIPOC (Black/Indigenous/Person of Color) designer, and donate 10% of the proceeds from yarn purchases for that project to a good cause.

This spring we are featuring the Cheslie Toque, by Kiyomi Burgin. A portion of the yarn sales for this project will benefit Black Women in Motion, a youth-led organization that empowers and supports the advancement of black womxn and survivors of sexual violence.

Stop by the shop, give us a call at 845-809-5500, or email us to find out more!

Project Linus: Help us give back!

Project Linus provides love and sense of security, warmth and comfort, to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. We are giving back to the community through gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.” The Endless Skein is excited to be able to support Project Linus as a drop off point for finished blankets. We can also provide information for those who wish to support Project Linus.
