CHARITY PROJECTS

Charity Knitting and Crocheting

We invite you to join us in knitting and crocheting items for local charities. We recently donated over 300 hats to Hudson Valley non-profit Keep It Moving, which will distribute them to young people in need. Now we are knitting and crocheting blankets for Project Linus! Stop by The Endless Skein during store hours to pick up free yarn and patterns for charity crafting and to drop off your finished charity items.

The Endless Skein's Winter 2021 Project, to benefit Grace Smith House: Wave of Change Jacket, by Denise Bayron

Winter 2021 Project

Each quarter we spotlight a pattern by a BIPOC (Black/Indigenous/Person of Color) designer, and donate 10% of the proceeds from yarn purchases for that project to a good cause.

This month we are featuring the Wave of Change Jacket, by Denise Bayron. 10% of the yarn sales for this project will benefit Grace Smith House, a nonprofit in Dutchess County that provides residential and non-residential services to victims of domestic violence and their families.

Stop by the shop, give us a call at 845-809-5500, or email us to find out more!

Project Linus: Help us give back!

Project Linus provides love and sense of security, warmth and comfort, to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. We are giving back to the community through gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.” The Endless Skein is excited to be able to support Project Linus as a drop off point for finished blankets. We can also provide information for those who wish to support Project Linus.
